The beautiful poem by William Cowper that begins 'God moves in a mysterious way, his wonders to unfold' was the inspiration for this piece. |
| The Time We Spend Together |
One of the first complete songs I wrote, this one from highschool. I believe I was already beginning to feel nostalgic in 11th grade. |
| Never Lose Control |
Choppy but nice chord progressions are used to illustrate the repressed strength and resolve of someone fighting to retain control. |

Jazzy pounding chords reinforce a positive outlook driving towards tomorrow. |
| Unconditional |
This song is about love and the freedom to love someone regardless of behavior, situation, or reciprisoty. |
| Jealousy |
An angry song with dissonance and force. I particulary enjoy the clashing 11ths and 13ths of the stacked chords in the verse. The refrain is a repeated pulsating note, with only the underlying parts moving to create a change in tonality. |
| That's What I Say |
One of my bluesiest tunes. |
| Together Endlessly |
I wrote this song especially for my first dance with Roberta at our wedding reception. The refrain's lyrics are "Your eyes are a window to your soul, where the truth of life's revealed, and the hands of time will never change the way I feel." This sample starts in the bridge leading to the key change of the refrain. |

| Ancestors On High |
This song has to do with searching for something that might never be found, and is a plea for help, if not from God, then from the spirits of ones own ancestors. This song was written as an expression of frustration as I am an Adoptee searching for the true information regarding my identity prior to being "Ray Buffer". I have an emtire webpage on this topic that you may visit by clicking on the link below. |

The end of a quest is celebrated in this song. |
| Here To Stay |
An upbeat melody with a sundry of different instruments. |
